Players to Watch in the 712 Area Code: Corner Conference!

<p>The Corner Conference consists of the <strong>East Mills Wolverines</strong>, the <strong>Essex Trojans</strong>, the <strong>Fremont-Mills Knights</strong>, the <strong>Griswold Tigers</strong>, the <strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;">Heartland C</span></strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"><strong>hristian Eagles</strong>, the <strong>Sidney</strong> <strong>Cowgirls</strong>, and the <strong>Stanton Viqueens</strong>.  Let’s look at who graduated and who will be back in the 2020 season!</span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>East Mills Wolverines</strong></span></p> <p>East Mills loses 5 players to graduation this year including <strong>Tess Copperstone</strong>, <strong>Dezirae Drake</strong>, <strong>Hanna Smith</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="78428" first="Alex" last="Knop"]</strong>, and <strong>Lexi Ungry</strong>.  Returning next fall is <strong>Kaylor Horgdal (OH, 2021)</strong> who was the second-best hitter and had over 30 aces.  <strong>Rachel Drake (MH, 2021)</strong> is the best returning hitter and the best in blocks.  <strong>Ebonee Drake (DS, 2021)</strong> is one of the top 5 in digs.  <strong>Randi</strong> <strong>Knop (OH, 2022)</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> is the best returning server and one of the top 5 in digs.  <strong>Emily Wilson (MH, 2023)</strong> is in the top 5 in kills and the second-best blocker.</span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Essex Trojans</strong></span></p> <p>Essex loses 1 player to graduation this year, <strong>Camryn</strong> <strong>Chambers</strong>.  Returning next fall is <strong>Helen Nicholas</strong> who was top in assists, top in digs, and the best server.  <strong>Elise</strong> <strong>Dailey</strong> will also be back and was tops in kills and blocks last fall.  <strong>Brianne</strong> <strong>Johnson</strong> will be back with the top service aces last fall.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Fremont-Mills Knights</strong></span></p> <p>Fremont-Mills loses 7 seniors this year including <strong>Athena Wendland</strong>, <strong>Courtney Goodman</strong>, <strong>Ellie Crom</strong>, <strong>Lydia Alley</strong>, <strong>Rachel Wietzki</strong>, <strong>Kendall Reed</strong>, and <strong>Elizabeth Bartles</strong>.  Returning this year is <strong>Kenna</strong> <strong>Howard</strong> <strong>(MH, 2021)</strong> who was top in kills, blocks, and top 5 in aces last fall.  <strong>Kaelyn</strong> <strong>Driskell</strong> <strong>(S, 2022)</strong> will also return as the setter this year and was top in digs, top service aces, and top 5 in serve efficiency.    </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Griswold Tigers</strong></span></p> <p>Griswold loses 4 seniors this year including <strong>Kacey Danker</strong>, <strong>Kami Howell</strong>, <strong>Jocelyn</strong> <strong>Amos</strong>, and <strong>Loryn</strong> <strong>Peterson</strong>.  Returning players to watch this year are <strong>Mikala Pelzer (OH, 2021)</strong> who was the top hitter, top 5 in digs, and top in service aces, <strong>Kalainee Teaney (MH, 2021)</strong> who was in the top 5 in kills and the top returning blocker, <strong>Haylee Pennock (S, 2021)</strong> who is the returning setter, top 5 in kills, and top 5 in digs, and <strong>Anna Kelley (L, 2022)</strong> who was the top in digs and top in serve efficiency.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Heartland Christian Eagles</strong></span></p> <p>Heartland Christian is losing 2 seniors this year including <strong>Bella Dingus</strong> and <strong>Shelana Cochrane</strong>.  Returning players to keep our eyes on this year are <strong>Savannah Horan (MH, 2021)</strong> who is the best returning hitter, top in digs, and over 30 aces, <strong>Corey Butterbaugh (RS, 2021)</strong> who is the best blocker, has over 30 aces, and best returning server, and <strong>Grace Heffernan (OH, 2023)</strong> who had the top service aces on this team last season.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration:
