About Elle

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay is very quick, loud, and celebratory. My background in gymnastics has significantly attributed to my quick and dynamic movements on the court. In addition, my celebrations consist of cheering, shoving, and is full of enthusiasm. Even when we are down, I still celebrate by pointing out something good that happened, and try to focus on the positive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is very calm and positive. In every aspect of the sport, I will always try to be a good teammate above anything else. As a result, my personality is very kind and uplifting for my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer at an local animal shelter called Pets in Need.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As captain of both my high school and club teams, I have learned how to not only play with different teammates, but also how to lead a group of different types of players. As a leader, it is crucial to build a strong relationship with the people you are leading.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was a gymnast until the age of twelve, and I started playing club volleyball at 14. As someone who started volleyball later than most of my teammates, at open gyms and tryouts I was always put on the lowest court, despite my energy and skill levels. While this was very discouraging, I have worked extra hard these past three years and am now a captain.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a good, supportive community.
