These 2028 Attackers are Breaking Out

It's the wonderful time of the year when the Seahawks are making a run to the Big Game and the rest of us are in the gym from 7 AM to 7 PM on a Sunday watching, playing, or reffing volleyball. Just like the Hawks, these attackers know how to soar, defend, and score when a game or match is on the line. These six look ready to do big things this season.    Lincoln is a highlight maker in the front row; her exposiveness and vicious swing are being used in the middle by Blue Royals, and she is delivering. Her quickness laterally and vertically helps her be a difference maker as a blocker; she can generate easy points with stuff blocks and throwing down overpasses to open the court. Lincoln has the goods to play on either pin if needed; she performed well on the pins during the high school season.     Curtis was excellent during the fall high school season, and she showed she was ready to back it up with her Club Gold team at the Transpacific Volleyball Championships in Hawaii. The OH from Connell has a high contact point, making the most of her approach and swing to rack up kills. Curtis is outstanding in the back row, using a fundamental, sound platform and excellent footwork to keep her team in system.     Soltau is a well-trained, all-around outside playing for WVBA 16 Adidas this season. The Kamiak 2028 prospect play and looks longer than her listed 5'9", she competes hard as a blocker and has a solid press. At the Matt Hartner Memorial, Soltau played in serve, receive, and displayed the ability to handle and pass serves outside her frame with an accurate tilt of her platform. She finds the angles and seams as an attacker and is a developing six-rotation prospect.     The 6'0" 2028 prospect has been dealing out kills from the middle spot for FEVA this club season; however, at the MLK, she showed off an expanding game defensively and from the service line. Hirst is a long 6'0", and she has a tough diving jump float serve, she gets on top of and drives with force. When the play got messy at the net, she cleaned up strong with two hands and remained calm, using her platform when she needed to play defense. Hirst is a dynamic attacker, driving kills to both corners and showing a smooth tip to the "four" when she needs to use offspeed.     Werner is a versatile athlete who has played in the middle at times for SNVF 16 Kala- she is a twitchy athlete who gets off the floor quickly and has a fast arm. She will rip balls to the corner with an excellent thumb down swing. Werner knows how to score when she gets her set and can compete at any position along the net when needed.     McDonald is a shutdown blocker with heavy hands, and she has been especially effective at locking up OH when she plays the right side for Aspire NW this season. The Skyview attacker has good length and scores from both pins with an accurate deep-corner swing.
