From The Northwoods To Mega Metros – Get To Know Prep Dig Sizzle Squads

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The Prep Dig Sizzle continues to heat up with top teams across the state.  We have all corners covered from all divisions.  Teams from any state are welcome to come!  I know there are restrictions from each state, but if you can play, come on over to Appleton!  There are some teams registered who have been the usual suspects when it comes to the state tournament, but there are other teams that I know will be fun to take the court.  I am so excited about the possibilities and new names ready to make their early footprint on the 2020 season. </span></p> <p>*THE JV DIVISION IS FULL!  If you wish to be on a waiting list email chris@prepdig.com.  Varsity Division still has plenty of openings. </p> <p><a href="https://events.prephoops.com/e/60/attendees">Committed Teams JV  </a></p> <p><a href="https://events.prephoops.com/e/59/attendees">Committed Teams Varsity </a></p> [caption id="attachment_93962" align="alignright" width="437"] Mosinee[/caption] <p><strong>Mosinee </strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Mosinee was able to advance to the state tournament in 2018, but they definitely have a roster coming back that is loaded with plenty of talent and balance.  I was able to see them at the Appleton East Invite in 2019 and saw the makings of a really strong team.  Well coached, very chill vibe as they play, and the athletes look like they have so much fun on the court! Junior tandem of attackers Emily Wicklund and [player_tooltip player_id="80813" first="Brooklyn" last="Montgomery"] as well as libero Zoe Gburek. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Cuba City </strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Cuba City from Southwest Wisconsin has history on their side with multiple state tournament appearances in volleyball and basketball. In 2019, the Cubans finished with a 25-9 record and will be returning their top attacker in Hailey Stich who is solid all around with over 300 kills and 300 digs. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Prentice </strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Prentice is 80 miles Northwest of Wausau, definitely in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.  In 2019, Prentice was in the top ten most of the season with 29 wins before being knocked off my Newman Catholic.  College Coaches!  Put [player_tooltip player_id="80845" first="Olivia" last="Burcaw"] on your radar.  The Class of 2021 athlete had nearly 500 kills on the season and will be looking to have another big season where the Buccaneers will be looking to make a deep postseason run where it ends at the Resch Center in Green Bay. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran </strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">With a sectional final appearance last season, NEW Lutheran is bringing back some family ties and strong athletes to be a force in D4.  [player_tooltip player_id="56462" first="Jaclyn" last="Wise"] is a Hilldale commit, which is a D2 school in Michigan where she had over 450 kills last year earning All State honors.  Josie Nelson will be back as well setting where she had over 900 assists as a Junior. </span></p> [caption id="attachment_93964" align="alignright" width="428"] Sun Prairie[/caption] <p><strong>Sun Prairie</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Sun Prairie is just outside of Madison and has made back to back appearances in the D1 state tournament.  However, they will have some key spots to fill due to graduation.  Keep in mind they still return Minnesota-Duluth commit [player_tooltip player_id="80717" first="Payton" last="Addink"], Kansas State commit [player_tooltip player_id="80718" first="Josie" last="Halbleib"], and middle [player_tooltip player_id="80740" first="Maggie" last="Allaman"].  Sun Prairie is also nearing where they will split into two high schools come fall of 2022 where Sun Prairie High School will remain the Cardinals of Sun Prairie East while the other high school will be the Sun Prairie West Wolves. </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Fox Valley Lutheran </strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400">FVL is minutes from the Fox Cities Champion Center.  With a record setting season in 2019, going 33-3.  They return a bulk of their squad who will be in the same section and conference as perennial power Luxemburg-Casco (2019 state champions) and Freedom (a 2019 ranked squad).  This team will be looking to build up some big time momentum to carry into the 2020 season with very big goals they would like to accomplish. </span></p>
