The newest 2028s ranking is LIVE!

Michigan's latest sophomore class is surely making a name for themselves quickly. Giving an abundance of size, physicality and an incredible IQ across the board, these 2028s are legit! We have the all-important 16s year of a club season upon us. A year that leads to the long-awaited June 15th and which these players can embark on their recruiting journeys.

There is a ton of talent in this 2028 class from the Mitten state. We're going to be looking at the players in the top 30 and working our way up. With over a 100 athletes already in our ranking system, these groups continue to get DEEPER and STRONGER. So you do Not want to miss out on ANY OF THEM!

[player_tooltip player_id='807820' first='Addison' last='Bultynck'] - Romeo/Michigan Elite

[player_tooltip player_id='807820' first='Addison' last='Bultynck'] is quickly becoming the silent killer on the court. She may not have been amongst the top of the scouting report, but she's working her way to being a problem for a lot of opponents. Just under the 6'0 marker, Bultynck is a high flyer and steady presence in the back court. She made a great impact with Romeo this fall in a variety of ways and will look to only continue her ascent this club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'] - GR Catholic Central/Legacy

[player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'] could be a sneaky product to look out for in this 2028 class. A setter native to the west side of the state, originally out of the D1 powerhouse, Lowell. She has shifted her settings around over the last year, moving to play an age up on Legacy's 2s team and moving schools to GR Catholic Central this fall. While she didn't see court time in the fall due to transfer rules, Wender had a really promising club season in 2025. She brings an all-around game to her position and can better her hitters more times than not. She'll continue playing up an age group, look for Wnder to make big moves with 17-2s.

[player_tooltip player_id='710236' first='Morgan' last='Borodychuk'] - Mt. Pleasant

This is a multi-sport powerhouse, and at the moment, a club-less volleyball player. But don't be fooled, Morgan Bordychuk could very well become one of the top prospects in the Mitten by time her prep career comes to a close. This fall saw a move in position for Borodychuk from the middle to the outside that proved to pay off dividends for not only her but for the Mt. Pleasant program, too. She has the capabilities of hitting a very heavy ball with a lot of range. The move has only allowed her to blossom more into an elite level talent. Given her experience and potential, she has shown time and time again to be a lethal scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='560553' first='Macaire' last='Kudary'] - Traverse City Central/FaR Out

There is a lot of talent tucked away in this corner of the state, [player_tooltip player_id='560553' first='Macaire' last='Kudary'] just may be the next big thing out of the Traverse City 'Metro'. Despite her youth, this is a player that can really do it all. I have witnessed her thrive as an attacker on both pins, but I've also seen her set and man, could she run a real nice offense. This versatility in court duties is what makes Kudary a big time potential in this class. She's consistently shown signs of high level nature in all facets of the game. A true testament to where her future will lead is this club season as she makes the trek to play for FaR Out's top 16s squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='584595' first='Jamie' last='Smith'] - Cass Tech/Legacy

She may be small, but boy, is [player_tooltip player_id='584595' first='Jamie' last='Smith'] mighty. This is another player that has seemingly been thrown around just about every position in her young career. Smith has been in just about every front row position so far and she has shown to delivery in all of them. Her springy, fast-twitched nature allows her lack of size to go unnoticed as she can out swing thrown the best of defenses and clamp down on the best of attackers at the net. It'll be interesting to see just where Smith will end up, positionally, this club season. But wherever it is, she will surely make herself known.

[player_tooltip player_id='887162' first='Lyla' last='Russell'] - Imlay City/Michigan Elite

Consider her maybe a 'new kid on the block', but I have a feeling that we will be hearing much more from [player_tooltip player_id='887162' first='Lyla' last='Russell'] in the coming months. This is another exciting project to come out of the Imlay City cannon in the last few years. We have seen the program produce some elite level players in the setting position and now, potentially one in the libero position. In her first fall in the jersey, Russell was a standout. She brought a lot of grit and energy to the court in which allowed the Spartans to stay competitive, and amongst one of the top teams in Division 2. Her play made impressions in the club scene and it will be very telling to see just how Russell can elevate further with Michigan Elite's 16 Mizuno crew.

[player_tooltip player_id='761443' first='Meg' last='Schreur'] - South Christian/FaR Out

This past fall was somewhat of a break out season for [player_tooltip player_id='761443' first='Meg' last='Schreur']. As the anchor the back court of South Christian, Schreur's growth in the libero position is a pivotal reason for SC's continued success. She is a relentless defender with a lot more potential in her reception. She'll be looking to earn the jersey with FaR Out's top 16s team this winter and continue her ascent.

[player_tooltip player_id='839870' first='Harper' last='Schaedig'] - Lowell/FaR Out

I wouldn't count out Lowell. Led by [player_tooltip player_id='839870' first='Harper' last='Schaedig'], there is an incredible amount of young talent coming up for the Red Arrows. Schaedig has been leading the pack of this wave of youth since her stellar freshman fall. Her attacking abilities continue to expand with both her prowess and range. Schaedig will look to be the focal point of 16 Gold's offense throughout this club season with FaR Out.

[player_tooltip player_id='809557' first='Brooklyn' last='Beardsley'] - Lake Fenton/Michigan Elite

There is a lot of really exciting things when it comes to this player. She jumps extremely well, hits a quick ball and can get into the net space with such pace. [player_tooltip player_id='809557' first='Brooklyn' last='Beardsley'] has been bubbling under the surface as the next break out prospect in the middle. She has all the attributes to do so and could very well do it this club season.

[player_tooltip player_id='579822' first='Addison' last='Dresch'] - Dexter/L2

[player_tooltip player_id='579822' first='Addison' last='Dresch'] is another one of those prospects that impresses you time after time but yet is looking for the right moment to do her 'big one'. And it's coming. Dresch, while undersized, has the potential to be an elite level prospect in this class at the setter position. She's fast, very determine and consistent in her play. She has all the attributes desired when it comes to the position. She'll be playing her first year at the open level with L2's top 16s team. A setting that could very accelerate her growth as a player.
