Position Rankings Update: 2028 Setters

Woodruff never seems to get rattled and gets the most out of all her hitters while showing great leadership skills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id='644142' first='Ava' last='Kiernan'], South Lyon East/Michigan Elite: </strong>A lengthy 6'2” setter that stays light on her feet, Kiernan can push a great pace while running an offense and also is a consistent blocker. She's worked hard to improve all aspects of her game to be a complete player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>3. [player_tooltip player_id='664290' first='Heidi' last='White'], East Grand Rapids/MVA: </strong>White is another long setter in this class at 6'0”. She isn't afraid to take her offense to another gear and has consistent location placement to produce highlight-reel kills. White shows good maturity and intuition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id='850734' first='Kyla' last='Kuiper'], Zeeland East/FaR Out: </strong>Kuiper keeps getting better and better with all phases of her play. When it comes to her setting, she's got great touch on the ball, which has led to improved connections with all her hitters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'], GRCC/Legacy: </strong>Wender had to sit out the fall season after transferring to GRCC, but she's still been putting in the work to better her game and is primed for a great club season with Legacy. She's eager to showcase where she fits in with this class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Others To Watch</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='579822' first='Addison' last='Dresch'], Dexter/L2: </strong>Dresch is able to contribute in every aspect of volleyball, including attacking and defending, on top of her strong setting play. Given her all-around talents, expect a breakout year for Dresch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='743769' first='Joeleigh' last='White'], Gull Lake/USA Michigan: </strong>White is a setter/hitter combo player that can leave a lasting impression in both roles. She's gotten more comfortable in a lead role and her instincts and court IQ are showing improvement.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='795567' first='Kendall' last='Sierzputowski'], TC West/Northshore: </strong>Sierzputowski has been able to really build on her defensive game over the past few months, which only makes her a better overall player and leader. This club season should allow her to continue to shine as a setter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='765782' first='Abigail' last='Griffin'], Romeo/Michigan Elite: </strong>Griffin moves really well on the floor and is able to showcase her athleticism in her play as a setter. She has nice touch on her feeds and is willing to try and make aggressive plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='765790' first='Piper' last='Ayotte'], Skyline/Michigan Elite: </strong>Ayotte has put in time to improve herself as a defender, on top of adding new facets to her game as a setter. She's mixing up her locations well and willing to try new things to give her offense an advantage.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
