Prep Dig Texas attended the event, checking out Pools 1 and 2 of the 15 Club Division on Sunday morning at the [program_tooltip program_id='538544' first='Katy' last='United'] facility. Some excellent volleyball was played, and we'll now highlight the top performers in each position, starting with the setters:

Inman set for the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 15 White team that earned two wins and a loss in Pool 1. A tall setter, she moved well on the court and had her team's offense running in a nice rhythm. Inman was very intelligent with her distribution and picked the right moments to use her middles, making their offense harder to predict. The setter also served very well, consistently getting opponents out of system with her aggressive floaters.

Barajas was the starting setter of the BCS Skyline 15 White team that dropped all three matches in Pool 1. A technical and dynamic player, she stood out with her playmaking, with her ability to quickly get to the ball, and her talented setting hands. Barajas consistently made the right choices with her distribution and raised the level of her hitters. She played good defense and was used as a hitter in some moments, showing good vision to score off tips and by tooling the block.

Cates was part of the LC Sharks 15 Elite side that ended their campaign with a win and two losses in Pool 2. She was much more than a setter for them, taking up hitting duties when at the net. Cates moved well on the court and showed solid ball-handling skills, being very accurate with her locations. She also served well and was very efficient when playing defense on the right back position, demonstrating excellent ball control. Cates was very consistent and reliable offensively, too, getting off the floor well and showing nice resources to put the ball down.

Garcia played for the Texas One - 15 Navy team that registered three losses in Pool 2. She brought a lot to the table on the backcourt, combining excellent ball control and impressive quickness to get to the ball, and was probably the best defender among the setters in the division. Garcia also did well with her setting, showing good chemistry with each of her hitters and keeping the team's offense well-balanced with her even distribution. She also served well and did a good job of communicating with her teammates.
