With the commencement of the weekend, welcomes the beginning of qualifier season!

Sunshine is often times looked at as the kick off to the USAV National Qualifier season and in comparison, its one of the biggest of the season! From California, to Texas and the Midwest, all of the biggest teams in the country are coming to Orlando, hunting for a bid to Indianapolis in July.

In the 16 Open, here are nine players you need to keep an eye on to make some waves at the Sunshine Classic this weekend!

Julia Clarke - A5

Coming off of a hot Triple Crown tournament, Julia Clarke is a middle that you cannot miss out on. While the bulk of the offensive load goes to her pins, Clarke does an incredibly efficient job with her opportunities. Clarke's block is an integral part of A5's success

Addison Martin - Arizona Storm

After a tight loss in the Triple Crown semifinals, Arizona Storm is going to be coming into this tournament with a vengeance. Despite this, Addison Martin at the setter position is one of the brightest spots on the court. Martin can throw the ball from anywhere on the court with precision.

Sarah Floyd - TAV

This may be one of the most exciting attackers coming into this qualifier. I may be biased for the love of the big lefties, but Sarah Floyd is one of the best there is. At 6'3 on the right pin, Floyd is an impenetrable force. Her block is intense and Floyd can easily tower over opposing defenses with her reach.

Jensen Kubik - Dynasty

You know when you get a Kubik, things are going to be tough goings for the other team. Jensen Kubik is another elite level attacker from this long line of top shelf players. Kubik hits an insanely heavy ball and has increased her range by a lot since last club season.

Olivia Brown - Legacy

There's a new kid in town and her name is Olivia Brown. At 6'2 and so much potential yet to showcase, Brown has been a great add to this already talented group at Legacy. Sunshine could very much be the coming out party for the early prospect as she continues to acclimate to the open level.

Julia Masselink - Kairos

She may only be a freshman, but this attacker is playing years beyond her age. Julia Masselink is going to be the next big name in volleyball coming out of the Great Plains. At 6'2. Messelink plays even higher than her size and can bring a dominating boom to the ball. Her and Kairos are not a team to take lightly en route to a bid in Orlando.

Carsyn Chitty - Mintonette

This is one libero that you need to see in action. Carsyn Chitty is not only an incredible defender, reading the game almost a step ahead of her competition. But Chitty brings to the court a heightened sense of out of system setting. This is where Mintonette really elevates and could push them the distance this weekend.

Naja Thigpen - Triangle

Naja Thigpen found herself significantly sidelined last club season due to an injury. Fast forward to now and the outside hitter, DS combination is looking to make up some ground for lost time. Thigpen reads the game at a very high level and makes high level plays in the back court. She's also a viable option as an attacker with a lot of range in her shot selection.

Ava Kiernan - Michigan Elite

This is going to be a setter we talk about a LOT this season. Ava Kiernan is a 6'2 setter out of Michigan who's stock is going to continue to rise and rise. In her first season as the sole operator of Michigan Elite's offense, Kiernan is finding her rhythm and playing well above the net.
