Sophomore setter Kamryn Brown Kamryn Brown 5'7" | S Union County | 2029 GA has already taken on a huge role for Union County, and the biggest thing that stands out is how comfortable she looks being responsible for so much of the offense. She has piled up more than 500 assists this season while also putting pressure on teams from the service line.

Kamryn is getting the kind of experience that can speed up a setter’s development quickly. She has to make decisions when the pass is perfect, but she also has to figure things out when it isn’t. That means chasing balls, changing the plan mid-rally and deciding which hitter gives Union County its best chance in the moment.

Kamryn already entered this season with substantial varsity setting experience after producing 819 assists as a freshman. Her current start has pushed her back near the top of Georgia’s assist conversation.

That experience should give Kamryn an increasingly advanced understanding of tempo and hitter management. Setters learn over time that distributing evenly is not always the same as distributing effectively. Sometimes a hitter needs another ball to regain confidence; other times the correct decision is moving away from the obvious matchup entirely.
