<p class="text-gray-700">Schaffner has great reaction time on balls. She can track down hard, soft and deflected balls on any part of the court. Schaffner does a great job trailing plays and lining up with blockers. Schaffner makes the simple passes and lunges after balls under control. Schaffner is also an aggressive server. Schaffner had 148 digs and 43 aces to help Christian Academy of Louisville go 30-7, win the 28th District championship and drive to the 7th Region semifinals.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Gilliland gave the Cardinals some steady play on defense in a rebuilding season. Gilliland steps toward balls, stops then makes nice passes. Gilliland does not hesitate to dive after balls to keep plays alive. She's learning some sound techniques during club season that she hopes pays off during high school season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Ryan (pictured) is active on the court at all times. She moves her feet well trying to anticipate balls and does a good job getting the Raiders into a good rhythm. Ryan will even do the splits under control to keep plays alive if needed. Ryan is a great teammate and a wonderful person to get to know off the court. Ryan does a great job making out of system sets. Ryan had 343 digs for the Raiders in the fall.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Brisley gave the inexperienced Warriors sound back row play. Brisley tracks down balls with authority then makes smooth passes to the front row. Brisley runs to the sides yet keeps her arms out and aimed toward the net to put the setter in great position to make plays. Brisley stymies opponents with sound, aggressive serves. Brisley had 231 digs and 40 aces for Southwestern in the fall.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Georgel makes a lot of hustle plays for the Bulldogs. Georgel can make one-armed saves when needed. She sets up well behind blockers. Georgel adds in hard line drive serves, showing she can land aces on sound defensive specialists.</p>
