Barlow (pictured) is a sound hitter, using her size to develop tough hitting angles. She gets on top of balls and takes big swings. She tips balls to the middle if defensive specialists are playing back enough trying to take away those hard shots. Barlow’s setting has come a long way. She has good touches on those second touches, consistently putting hitters in position to put balls down.

Barlow gives Gallatin a solid option on the opposite side. The lefty rips the seams from the strong and weak sides. Barlow consistently finds different ways to hit through, over and around double blocks. Barlow can angle balls off blockers for big points. Barlow mixes in soft tips to the middle 10-foot line. Barlow places overpassed balls away from opponents. Barlow had 167 kills in the fall helping Gallatin go 23-11 and drive to the Division I-AAA sub-state.
