Continue ReadingWe travel back to the Dallas Area to cover a few more athletes in the 2021 class that are so much fun to watch. These young ladies will be off to college in a year, but we have one more season to watch them leave a great legacy on the court. If you haven’t seen them play, you should stop by a court and you will definitely be entertained.
Charitie Luper Charitie Luper 5'8" | OH Bryon Nelson | 2021 State TX [2021] 5-8 Outside (HS: Byron Nelson/Club: Texas Advantage/ Verbal: UCLA)
Charitie is listed as the number 21 top prospect in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig Rankings. She is one of the, if not THE, most athletic players we have seen in a long time. Being the daughter of two athletically gifted parents definitely helps. This apple has not fallen far from the tree at all. She has come into her own and every college coach across the country has taken notice. She is verbally committed to UCLA and she will likely be super explosive for them from the moment she walks onto their campus. She has one more year at her volleyball powerhouse school Byron Nelson and her senior season looks to be very similar to last year’s 6A state title team. Miss Luper’s jumping ability is so astounding because she is a unicorn. I say this because she is the rare jumper that doesn’t even need to create any momentum in her approach in order to sky above the net. It is almost as if she just floats in the air at will and it is very beautiful to watch. She rises so quickly and then has a thunderous arm swing that has the ball explode off of her hand. She was born to play the game of volleyball. Be on the lookout for great things this coming season.
Cecily Bramschreiber Cecily Bramschreiber 5'8" | OH LoveJoy | 2021 State TX [2021] 5-8 Outside (HS: Lovejoy/Club: Madfrog/Verbal: TCU)
Cecily comes in ranked 25th overall on our Prep Dig Rankings for the 2021 class. She is verbally committed to TCU and will join a loaded class that will continue their winning tradition. She is a very gifted six rotation outside who has such a scorer’s mentality. She has every shot imaginable for an outside and regularly runs different tempos all along the net at every position. She scores at will due to her unique ability to disguise her shots. She jumps well and has great hang-time, which allows her to change up her shot mid air. This in itself is so hard to defend and her opponents are always caught off guard by it. She has a cannon for an arm but at the snap of a finger can disguise an off-speed shot as a hard driven swing. Whens he does this, her opponents have no chance at picking it up. Her club team regularly goes to her in the back row to attack and she scores at a very high clip. Stay tuned as her Lovejoy team will definitely have a say in who goes deep in the state playoffs this coming year.
Nikki Steinheiser Nikki Steinheiser 6'0" | OH Prosper | 2021 State TX [2021] 6-0 Outside (HS: Prosper/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Boston College)
Not many can match this kid’s natural competitiveness and fire on the court. That is why she is ranked as the 36th ranked player in the 2021 class. She plays the game the way it was supposed to be played. HARD. There is not a skill that she doesn’t possess. She is a formidable blocker at the net, she can pass nails in serve receive, she can dig hard driven balls at will, and hustles all over the court. Oh yeah, she can attack with the best in the country too. This young lady is no stranger to accolades. As a youngster she was named to the USAV Open division’s all tournament team. She is verbally committed to Boston College and will dominate at the collegiate level once she gets there. I like her approach as it looks as if she is punishing the ground with her feet. She jumps hard and utilizes her core very well to add power into her swing. She is definitely someone I will use to teach how hard of an approach a young player should take. We are looking forward to covering her senior season at Prosper.
