With nearly 800 career kills entering into her senior season, Mullins was electric in 2025 with a career high 358 kills for a single season, which equated to a 4.4 k/s average. With an increase in her efficiency, Mullins is poised to be one of the best offensive threats in the Southern Ohio III, a league the Pirates went unbeaten in last year. At 22-4 overall last season, Wheelersburg makes the switch from DV to DIV. They also bring back Laikyn Hall Laikyn Hall 5'9" | MB Wheelersburg | 2027 State OH , who led the team with 67 blocks to go along with 107 kills. Senior Laynee Walker is their third point scoring veteran coming back following a 1.5 k/s average. Junior Mati Jennings provided nearly seven digs per match and will be among this core returning group that will be called upon for more production to help them recover from some key parts lost due to graduation.

Alyssa is a class of 2027 outside hitter from Wheelersburg High School in southern Ohio.  Miss Mullins also plays club ball for SOVC and is currently ranked No. 174 overall in the Prep Dig Ohio State Rankings.  She stepped into the showcase with confidence and gave every scout in the building a very clear answer about whether the ranking was warranted. According to our research, Alyssa has been contributing to her high school in a big way as a junior, putting up 18 kills in a single match earlier this season. She wants the ball in big moments and she gets things done when she gets it.  We could all see this at the showcase when she battled against some great blockers without fear.  Standing at only 5’8″, she attacks with a physicality and intent that does not change based on the score or the situation. Although there are plenty of players who may be taller in height, Alyssa showed tons of heart and determination to score against anyone who went up against her.  She was looking for different ways to score rather than just swinging with just power.  This young lady knows how to score the rock.  Please help me congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase. 

Mullins was a prolific scorer in 2025 at 4.4 k/s, even more impactful than her successful previous season. She was second overall in the Southern Ohio with 358 total kills as Wheelersburg finished unbeaten in league play. For the second consecutive season she averaged double digit digs at 10.2 d/m. Her approach gets her feet to the ball well so she can be terminal in all directions. She will enter her senior season with 795 total kills in her career.
