Five Ohio 2027s Contributing in Multiple Phases

Johnson has been a key piece for Shekinah Christian the past two seasons with a big jump in productivity in 2025. With a career total of 840 total kills, over half of those were earned last fall as she terminated 460 times for a 5.1 k/s average. She has a complete skill set as a primary attacker as she can pass and swing while also using her length to play good defense as evidence by her career high 372 total digs for a 14.3 d/m average last fall. Getting a look at Chapman at MEQ arrived her onto the Watch List as preparations for the 2027 rankings update are underway. She is nice complement to the NOVA 17 Navy offense as she can stretch the defense with her arm and activity around her setter. Her range of offense looks as if it is developing well to run multiple options with good court awareness of the defense in front of her. She works well with her setter in transition as dictated by the location and tempo of the dig. Walker's athleticism helps make her an effective middle for her team. As this squad likes their middles up early and open to the setter, she does a good job in her approach patterns to get her timing in order to be available off the ground quickly and in position to make a play. At 6'0, she has a long extension to contact. For Cedarville last fall, she provided support offensively at 1.8 k/s on a .320 efficiency while owning the defense at the net with 3.5 b/m. Filisky is a very capable option at the net with ability to score and defend as an outside hitter. At 5'10, she earned a career best 224 total kills for Lake as she was part of a team leading duo at 3.1 k/s. She led her team in efficiency at .262 and service aces with 49. You can next see her and NOVA 17 Navy compete at the upcoming OVR bid event in the 17 National division. Haynie arrived on the radar and Watch List following the recent Windy City NQ. She has a long frame and reach at 6'1, which is her best physical attribute that helps her contact point above the net. The most fluid part of her game is on the defensive side and she moves well laterally towards both pins to close the block and fill up space. Offensively, she has room to grow in her transition work to get herself a big runway to use her stride and lift more efficiently.
