Where Do Badger Region Teams Stand With Bids To Indy?
We are nearing the end of the qualifier season, bids are coming into place. Where do the Badger Region teams stand with their bids to USAV Nationals to be held in Indianapolis to finish June and start July. We have the list here. Is this final? Almost.
Bids to nationals are earned at the region qualifier or at a national qualifier. The Badger Region held their region qualifier at the end of February (Feb.28-March 1), but teams also compete at national qualifiers across the country where they are looking to upgrade their bid or earn a bid.
Here is the order or divisions when it comes to USAV qualifying:
Open (earned at national qualifier)
National (earned at regional qualifier)
USA (earned at national qualifier)
Liberty (earned at national qualifier)
American (earned at national or regional qualifier)
Freedom (earned at regional qualifier)
There are still some national qualifiers that will finish up the next couple of weekends and also some regions who hold their qualifiers at the end of April, beginning of May. There could be a chance of some movement with teams moving divisions up if regions are unable to fill their spot. There is a “reallocation” process. After working around this for years, I still get a little confused how that all works.
There is also an “At-Large” process when it comes to filling the open field. Keep an eye on MKE Sting 16 Gold and 17 Gold. These teams did not earn a bid to the open field, but they had multiple days where they finished just outside open bid status. They have competed against some of the top teams in the country, picking up some huge wins.
