About Lyric

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to think I’m a leader on the court. I always try to encourage my teammates if we’re down, When I make a mistake I own it, overcome it, keep a next play mentality and do whatever I can to get back on track and contribute to my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a hardworking Student-Athlete. I work hard to maintain good grades and am always willing to put in the extra work and effort to be successful in my sport. I train hard in the off-season.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I am an Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach for Marcus Whitman Middle School, I’ve received a School award for notice about my Academics, etc.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Throughout my years of Volleyball, I’ve developed many skills and qualities. For an example I’ve been pretty big on Inclusion. Inclusion is a big one for me and always has been and I like to believe it’s a strong trait to have being on a team. Having older brothers, and training with them,I’ve also developed the qualities of playing with grit and tenacity.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many significant challenges throughout my years. I’ve tore a ligament in my left ankle right after coming back from fracturing my right ankle. It was a hardship to overcome but I’ve learned that the setback is just a break and you will comeback 100x stronger with proper mindset and will power. During injury, I used that time to study the game in a different aspect.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college I enjoy to be at not only for sports, but a great Academic area as well. I want to go to a college that suits me and where I’ll be most successful.

Tauave has an advanced shot tool box for a 2029 OH. She can push a ball to the corner to score against a big block, or rip a hard angle or off high hands for a kill. Tauave is confident attacking from the pipe- she swings for the deep corner and puts pressure on the defense. The South Kitsap prospect has an excellent serve as well; she drops it just in front of the passers at second-tempo speed, creating out-of-system situations.
