Five Pin Hitters to Track at Lone Star Regionals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Texas is set to host one of the biggest and most exciting tournaments of the late portion of the club volleyball season this weekend, when the Lone Star Regionals come to Houston.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The tournament, which will reunite nearly 700 teams across 18 divisions between Saturday and Sunday at the George R. Brown Convention Center, in downtown Houston, also serves as a national qualifier, adding more charm and weight to one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teams from all over the Lone Star State will make the trip to Houston to compete and, with them, will be some of the most talented players in the state. She's a versatile offensive player who can swing from different spots at the net and the back row and keep a high efficiency rate. Caramanica makes the most of her length to make contact with the ball at a very high point and angle her swings well, but also shows excellent vision to find gaps on the block and tip in great spots. Capable of playing on the left or the right, she's a prolific scorer who has excellent offensive range and a good variety of shots in her toolbox. Westbrook is particularly good in transition plays, showing impressive mobility to move away from the net and good vision to find ways to put the ball down. Standing at 6'1", she's a formidable offensive player who can score from anywhere on the court. Gibbs has a very high contact point and does a great job of maximizing the power of her swings with small actions in her approach. She's a very tall offensive player who makes the most of her length and high contact point to beat opposing blockers at the net and score points. Parker can be used on either pin and has excellent vision above the net, being capable of painting a clear picture of what's in front of her and creating solutions to put the ball down while making very few errors. She adds a lot in volume and stability for them with her strong back-row game. Very technical and mobile, Embra is very reliable with her first contact, be it when delivering accurate passes to her setter or working hard on defense.
