[player_tooltip player_id='837411' first='Ava' last='Martinez'], a Class of 2027 setter and libero from La Porte High School and [program_tooltip program_id='745880' first='Houston' last='Stellar'] 16 Elite, is a multi-skilled back row presence who adds an extra dimension to the setter position by also being a legitimate defensive contributor when the system calls for it. She plays with the low, compact efficiency that serves her well in both roles, and the versatility to function at the service line and as a passing option makes her more than just a one-function piece on any roster she lands on. Her ability to read the floor quickly and make decisions under pressure is what stands out most on film, whether she is orchestrating the offense or anchoring the back row in a rally that has gone sideways. She also competes in beach volleyball, and that experience of playing the full court in a two-person system sharpens the spatial awareness and ball control that show up clearly when she is back inside. Ava is a two-way prospect whose versatility gives college staffs real options in how they choose to use her and that kind of flexibility is worth genuine recruiting attention. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our Official Watch List.

[player_tooltip player_id='694254' first='Madelynn' last='Nagelmueller'], a Class of 2027 setter from La Vernia High School and United VBA, quietly put together one of the more impressive statistical seasons of any setter in Texas's smaller classifications, posting 786 assists as a junior on a La Vernia team that rode a 17-match winning streak into the UIL 4A Division II State Championship match. Running an offense alongside an Arkansas signee and a Dallas Baptist commit while delivering that volume of assists in a state championship run tells you she can manage an elite offensive system under real pressure and execute when the stakes are at their highest. At 5'8" she brings solid physical dimensions to the position and has the frame to step into a college system without a significant adjustment period. Her ball-handling in the middle of traffic showed up all season, and the fact that La Vernia ran as far as they did with her at the controls is a credential that speaks clearly without needing much additional context. Madelynn is a watch list setter who has already proven herself in the biggest moments available at the high school level in Texas. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our Official Watch List.

[player_tooltip player_id='443014' first='Brooke' last='Kelley'], a Class of 2027 setter from Lake Creek High School in Montgomery and [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] Volleyball Club, is a player who comes from a program with a strong tradition of developing setters who go on to compete at the collegiate level. Brooke brings the physical dimensions that project well to the college game, and the technical work she puts in daily reflects a player who understands that the setter position requires more attention to detail and more film study than any other role on the court. Her footwork pattern getting to the ball is developing in a positive direction and she delivers from a consistent release point, which keeps her hitters comfortable and in rhythm rather than constantly adjusting to a moving target. She reads the defense on the move and makes adjustments in real time rather than defaulting to a predetermined system on every set, and that processing speed is what will define her ceiling as she heads into her senior year. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our Official Watch List.
