Five Under the Radar 15th Region Seniors

<p>Several seniors are poised to emerge as leaders for prep volleyball teams throughout the 15th Region. </p> <p>Here are five Under the Radar 15th Region Seniors. </p> <p><strong>Abby Akers:</strong> A libero, Akers is a student-athlete from Lawrence County. Akers was among the key contributors for the Bulldogs in 2019, compiling 223 digs and 31 service aces. A defensive standout who excels in the back row, Akers digs opponents’ attacks efficiently. </p> <p><strong>Hanna Blackburn:</strong> A middle hitter/outside hitter, Blackburn is a student-athlete from East Ridge, Blackburn appeared in all 30 of the Warriors’ matches in 2019, amassing 179 kills and 42 blocks. The productive Blackburn reads opposing hitters to set up blocks regularly and hits well from the left side. </p> <p><strong>Inetta Hamilton:</strong> An outside hitter, Hamilton is a student-athlete from Betsy Layne. Hamilton delivered for 58th District runner-up Betsy Layne throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, posting 147 kills, 123 digs and 105 service aces in 33 matches. Capable of hitting from the front and back rows, Hamilton is a solid server as well. </p> <p><strong>Kennedy Rose:</strong> A middle blocker/middle hitter, Rose is a student-athlete from Prestonsburg. Rose was a consistent contributor for Prestonsburg throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, recording 111 kills and 72 digs in only 23 matches. A reliable player along the front row, Rose closes blocks well, both individually and with teammates. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68114" first="Alivia" last="Stumbo"]:</strong> A defensive specialist/libero, Stumbo is a student-athlete from Floyd Central. Stumbo helped Floyd Central (30-8) capture the 2019 15th Region title, tallying 226 digs, 41 assists and 34 service aces in 38 matches. A longtime defensive leader, Stumbo digs and pursues well while producing as a back row hitter. </p>
