Five 12th Region Senior Setters to Watch

<p>Senior setters are among the top players in the 12th Region. </p> <p>Here are five 12th Region senior setters to watch. </p> <p><strong>Laura Bastin:</strong> A student-athlete from Casey County, Bastin built momentum during her junior campaign in 2019. Bastin registered 439 assists and 42 digs for the Rebels during the 2019 high school volleyball season. Reliable, Bastin has been a consistent contributor in both the back and front rows for the Rebels throughout multiple seasons. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="68112" first="Maddy" last="Foster"]:</strong> An accurate passer, Foster is a student-athlete from 2019 12th Region Semifinalist Southwestern. Highly productive, Foster posted 728 assists, 48 digs and 40 service aces as a junior for 2019 48th District champion Southwestern. Among the best passers in the 12th Region, Foster possesses strong communication skills and directs offenses successfully. </p> <p><strong>Sarah Beth Grimes:</strong> Agile, Grimes is a student-athlete from Lincoln County. As a junior during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Grimes logged 425 assists, 151 digs, 40 service aces, 77 kills and 42 blocks in 27 matches. A versatile setter, Grimes has shown the ability to cover the floor and make quick decisions. </p> <p><strong>Keeley McKnight:</strong> An underrated setter, McKnight is a student-athlete from Danville. As a junior during the 2019 high school volleyball season, McKnight recorded 403 assists, 203 digs, 50 service aces, 49 blocks and 121 kills for the Admirals. Athletic, McKnight excels in several categories. </p> <p><strong>Molli Nelson:</strong> A leader for her team in 2019, Nelson is a student-athlete from region title contender Pulaski County. Nelson excelled for 2019 47th District champion Pulaski County throughout her junior campaign, tallying 436 assists, 284 digs, 78 service aces and 110 kills. A vocal leader for 2019 12th Region runner-up Pulaski County, Nelson identifies blockers efficiently. </p>
