FAST Pre Nationals: 15s Division Standout Setters

With a good combination of technical and physical tools, she made a very strong impression, standing out as one of the top setters in the event despite facing older competition. Cavil's setting hands were very firm, and she also did a good job of feeling the game and distributing the ball accordingly. An excellent all-around player, she fit in just nicely in her team's 6-2 system, setting and hitting at a high level from the right. Sanks' setting was very reliable and efficient as she liked to speed things up when she could and was very precise with her locations at the pins. She played only the three back row rotations and made a big impact with her impressive ball-handling skills. Cesari moved very quickly on the court and was able to accurately get the ball to the pins from basically anywhere on the court, showing great awareness and precision. She used her accurate setting hands to keep her team's offense operating at a strong rhythm even when she had to work with passes off the net. Cathey's distribution was another strength of her playmaking, as she not only stood out for her decision-making, but also managed to keep all her hitters involved, sharing the ball as evenly as possible between them. A taller setter, she made a good impression with her mobility, tracking passes around the court and remaining disciplined with her body shape and technical execution. Richard was very accurate with her locations and well-balanced with her distribution, doing a good job of keeping her hitters involved.
