Breit Nelson | Prep Dig Scout
Breit Nelson is a Lead Scout for both Minnesota and Wisconsin. A lifelong student of the game, Nelson’s expertise is rooted in a foundational legacy; she grew up in the gym under the mentorship of her mother, who founded the volleyball program at Edgar High School in 1972. This early immersion led to a standout prep career, six years of elite club competition in the Badger Region, and a selection to the Badger Region Youth National Team. Nelson joined the Prep Dig Wisconsin team early in 2018, expanding her coverage to include Prep Dig Minnesota in 2021. Since then, she has authored hundreds of articles and prospect evaluations, becoming a fixture at Prep Dig Events. Her scouting is uniquely informed by her experience as an NCAA Division I student-athlete at UW-Milwaukee and a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology. This dual perspective allows her to evaluate athletes not only on physical talent but on the mental intangibles required for success at the next level. Now based in Central Wisconsin, Nelson leverages her extensive background as a player, coach, and sport psychology consultant to bridge the gap between high school prospects and collegiate opportunities. She is a dedicated advocate for the advancement of women’s athletics, consistently working to provide the exposure and psychological framework necessary for student-athletes to extend their playing careers into the college ranks.
