Madi Baker | Prep Dig Scout
I’m originally from Southern California, where I grew up in a strong volleyball community and began competing at a high level from a young age. I played both indoor and beach volleyball year-round through high school, developing a deep understanding of the game that has shaped me as both a player and a coach. I’m now a junior at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX, pursuing a Marketing degree with a minor in Psychology while competing as a collegiate volleyball player. My background has given me a very high volleyball IQ—I love analyzing the game, studying strategy, and helping athletes understand not just how to execute a skill, but why it works. I also have a passion for media and content creation, which I use to help promote teams, events, and the sport itself. Off the court, I coach for MoCo Mavs as the Head Coach for 11 Red and Assistant Coach for 17 White. In my first season, I was honored to be named Assistant Coach of the Year. In my second season, my 12s team posted an impressive 32-5 record, earning Team of the Year and bringing home three medals. I also coach Mavs Beach, where I draw on my experience as a high school beach volleyball player. In our very first season, Mavs Beach qualified for nationals, with all three pairs finishing in the top 10 and one pair placing 3rd in the nation. Whether I’m competing, coaching, or creating media, my goal is to share my passion for volleyball, develop confident athletes, and help grow the game at every level.
