Ryan Johnson brings three years of experience with PrepDig covering Missouri high school and club volleyball. Most of my articles focus on the Saint Louis area and the smaller schools in rural Missouri. I played college volleyball for one year at Park College in Kansas City and one year at Columbia College before an injury sidelined me for a couple of years. I coached club volleyball in Kansas City for 15 years with Team KC, North Stars, and Highlands before moving to the Saint Louis area. After I moved, I coached for H2 VBC for five years, with my last three years coaching nationally-ranked open teams with Geoff Davis, Lisa Orlet, and David Owens. I also have coached club teams from my hometown of Lesterville, so I like to cover rural teams in Missouri. Neat volleyball facts about me: I have also coached several players who went on to play JUCO, NAIA, D1, D2, and D3 players. I have one former player currently playing professionally overseas, and I have the great experience of playing for the legendary MU volleyball coaches of Wayne and Susan Kreklow during my time with Columbia College's men's volleyball program. I’m an MSHSAA volleyball official going on my fifth season and doing my first season of club officiating and I currently reside in Ladue, MO.
