Covalt has made her mark with Seward High School in a prep tenure that has featured multiple state tournament appearances. Her impact with Nebraska ONE 17 Black has been similarly impactful. We saw Covalt make big strides at last month’s Northern Lights Qualifier, and she remains locked in for the Power League grind. 17 Black figures to be a strong passing team this year with Covalt being the best of the bunch. Let’s see if another qualifier run is in their future.

Covalt polished off another stat-stuffing season by racking up close to 500 digs and a wealth of perfect passes that can’t be reflected by a box score. Her prowess as a secondary setter also evolved, which allowed the Bluejays to remain terminal in out-of-system situations. We’ll now look forward to the club season, a venue where Covalt should continue to shine.

Covalt joins the club’s 16 Black group from Seward, and this talented libero has proven herself through some year-round stat-stuffing prowess. After leading the Bluejays to a state championship appearance last fall, Covalt stayed in her groove and elevated Nebraska ONE’s defensive in early-season club action. The Presidents’ Day Classic in Omaha was a recent reminder of what this small-town gem can accomplish.
