About Abigail

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am controlled, consistent, and complimentary when I play. I play with controlled aggressiveness. I know when to make the safe play when needed. I can be counted on by my teammates to keep the ball in the court and I do not dwell on mistakes. I work well and adjust to the play of my teammates and always celebrate their successes.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a goldfish. I move on from mistakes quickly. I lead by example and am a steady presence on the court. I am very competitive and focused.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In Junior High I was inducted into the National Junior Honors Society and have been on the Honor Roll every year that I have been in school. I have participated in 4-H and have participated in the goat show in our County Fair as well as the photography contest. I volunteer with my club, Jacksonville Skyline, and specifically love helping with Volley Tots, our program for players ages 4-8.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

While I am not always the loudest, I strive to always be positive and supportive in whatever sport I am participating in. (I also play basketball, track, and beach volleyball.) I lead by example on and off the court by showing respect to all and always playing my hardest. I enjoy working with young children and have learned the importance of mentorship and how to be a strong role model.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to attend a well-balanced school that offers high level education, a welcoming community, and strong athletic opportunities. I am excited about all opportunities and am open to attending wherever I find my best fit.
