About Addie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay as very smooth. I am a setter who loves to mix things up with different routes, dumps, reversing the flow, and a quick offense. I would also say i’m very good at covering tips, playing defense, and putting in an aggressive deep float serve.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe myself as a very determined, smart, hardworking and brave volleyball player. Along with that, I have so much passion for the game and I think it really shows up through my leadership, hard work, and firery attitude and celebration on the court!!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of volleyball I am involved in Philanthropy and Youth(PaY), Service Club, Leader of Prom Committee, and I am currently working at a local coffee shop on the side. I have received multiple Presidential Scholar awards, and have varsity lettered in volleyball and weightlifting.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

From volleyball over the past 10 years I believe I have gained and learned an infinite amount of skills, life lessons, and qualities, the most significant to me however have been my development in work ethic, teamwork, leadership, confidence, dedication, discipline, and on top of all my development in my relationship with God.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my major set backs was suffering from 2 herniated and bulging discs in my back. This injury caused me to be out of volleyball for my entire sophomore year of high school including school ball and club. Not only did this put me at a disadvantage physically but also mentally. However, with God, family, coaches, and teammates, I have been able to come back stronger than ever!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college 2 or 4 year with a great family like volleyball program, who supports and loves one another unconditionally. Educationally I would love a college with a smaller class size and a great business program or pharmacy program!

Addie is also fearless in front-row situations, using her dump and joust skills to score in tight moments.
