One of the best showdowns of the week was in DVII as #5 Monroeville took on #8 Mohawk. Monroeville claimed the tough 3-2 win advancing them to the Region 25 semifinal round. Homan was a huge factor in the victory as she picked up 35 digs, the 12th match this season she has been over 30 digs. The 5’2 junior is just shy of 700 total digs for the season, a career best, with a total of 1,567 digs for her career. Homan and the rest of the Eagles squad await the winner of St. John and Jackson-Milton for their next match.

Homan will enter her junior season with nearly 900 digs. She had a career best 571 digs in 2024 for a whopping 22 d/m average. She patrols the back row from middle back with good purpose and reaction defensively. What stands out is her her first step pursuit that helps her create good range given her 5’2 frame. Homan also delivered 53 service aces last season as Monroeville finished 24-2 overall including going unbeaten in league play.
