About Addison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a person you can often depend on for a strong kill/smart placement. I love getting a good kill to end a rally, and the excitement that follows it. I tend to aim more cross-court when I hit middle to take the setter out to get the opposing team out of system, but that also means if it is taken away by the block I have to practice hitting cut-court as well. I tend to be a very flexible player!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I tend to be a very fun and energetic person off and on the court! I am the leader that keeps everyone’s energy up, but still keeps it serious. I love my teammates and tend to have a personal connection with them outside of volleyball, which makes everything so much better in my opinion. I love volleyball so much and I have put so much time into it, but also still have fun and enjoy it!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in 3 sports through my school (basketball, volleyball, track) and volleyball through Fargo Freeze. Non-sport related clubs I am a part of are PAY (philanthropy and youth), and am a student leader for academics. Non-sport awards I have received are academic recognition achievement award through my school, which requires an achievement of a 3.67 cumulative gpa or above for a semester!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have leadership qualities on the team such as the one that gets everyone hyped after every point and plays music at practice! Outside of volleyball I am a PAY member for my school and have volunteered many times for feed my starving children with my HSM group.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced challenges with seeing the block and swinging around it, and also finding a setter that I have truly connected with because I am a teller hitter that requires a little big higher of sets ☺️

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can pursue both academics and athletics without having to choose between the two.
