Add one more senior to the list. Omaha Marian needed to fill a void in its starting setter spot this year, and Janke is the natural choice to step in. She compiled numerous accolades with Club Legacy 17 Alpha during the spring and has reconvened with many of her club teammates at Marian. Janke is especially effective at dishing to her middle blockers–a strong position for the Crusaders. Marian’s return bid to the Class A tournament is off to a great start.

Omaha Marian will have a handful of impactful athletes to replace this year, and perhaps Janke can help fill some voids. This savvy setter has been a staple of Club Legacy’s success and was an elite signal-caller for this year’s 17 Alpha squad. Big stages like the Show Me Qualifier and AAU Nationals have brought out the best in Janke, who has formed cohesive club connections with many of her Marian teammates. That continuity could pay off on the high school side.

We’ve had the privilege of watching Janke and Club Legacy 17 Alpha evolve for the past couple of years. Offensive balance remains a major strength for 17 Alpha, and Janke contributes to this effort with her consistent tempo and location. The Omaha Marian junior can adjust to any system and is deceptively physical along the net. Our observations from the Show Me Qualifier cemented Janke’s rise in the 2026 rankings.

Janke remains the ringleader for Club Legacy 16 Alpha. She operates the team’s 5-1 offense, meaning Janke has to exhibit all-around prowess in every rotation. Opposing teams are often taken aback by how physical Janke can be at the net. Her positive block touches generated plenty of transition opportunities for 16 Alpha at AAUs, and this is where Janke can take over on second contacts. Omaha Marian has another star setter coming through the pipeline.

Janke keeps racking up steady performances with Club Legacy. We saw her game-changing potential at last year’s Great Plains Region Bid Tournament, which helped place Janke on our watch list. She earned several chances to guide the Omaha Marian offense last fall and thrived against tough Omaha-area competition. Janke’s upward trajectory continues into 2024 after Club Legacy 16 Alpha compiled a 6-1 record at the ASICS Presidents’ Day Classic. This is a good omen for the upcoming slate of high-stakes tournaments.
