As a recent 2A state champ and the Mental Attitude Award winner from this past fall for 2A, Addison is a solid six-rotation outside that has seemingly always been a starter for Barr-Reeve. From the Evansville area, she wrapped up this fall campaign with 1st Team All-State accolades in 2A, and has amassed 1300+ kills and 1100+ digs in her four-year career. Also a stud on the softball diamond, Addison is a multi sport star from southwest Indiana that can be a massive positive influence on any roster she lands.

As part of one of the better 2A programs in the state, Addison is a primary-passing outside that can do a little of everything for anyone interested in signing her. She’s already passed 1000 career kills and is closing in on 1000 career digs for the Vikings, and has been a model of consistency for all four years of her varsity career. Quick and smart, expect Miss Jones to be busy through October, as Barr-Reeve is primed for a deep run in the postseason.

Springy and active, Addison is one of the top attackers Barr-Reeve has had in some time. With the general ability to do anything any other outside can do, Addison is most likely going to pass both the 1000 career kill mark AND the 1000 career dig mark this fall at Barr-Reeve. Miss Jones is well-acclimated to open-level play, and rarely comes out of the game because of her solid all-around skill set. I’m amazed that a kid with this level of skill is still available at this time of year, yet here we are. Miss Jones would be an amazing addition to a stable of outside hitters at most schools needing just that.

Explosive and tough, Miss Jones can do a little bit of everything on the volleyball court. Nearing 1000 career kills AND digs at Barr-Reeve, Addison is the full-go and no-quit kid that a primary-passing outside should be. Fearless and strong, she fits right in with the high IQ folks at Union. Her arm swing puts pace on the ball, her passing is above average, and her size works for high-level collegiate play. From here, all she needs is exposure and the right fit for her future.

I agree with my fellow Indiana-based writer Melissa on this young lady—she’s a collegiate six-rotation outside if there ever was one. Hitting high and hard regularly, all while jumping past her expected height, allow her to be a for-sure recruit for anyone that needs a full-time outside that should never come out of the game. Playing at tiny Barr-Reeve in southern Indiana, Addison will be a welcome surprise for a program looking for a six-rotation queen who hits and plays at a Division I level.

To be honest, I have no idea how I didn’t know about Addison! From the moment she took the court, you could tell that she was going to be a force in the match. Jones looks like a player headed for college level volleyball and carries herself with tons of confidence and clearly has a lot of volleyball knowledge. She knew how to manage almost every situation she was put in, whether she was hitting from the pins or the back row – I seldom saw her make a hitting error and it wasn’t like she was hitting easy roll shots. Her height says 5’11” but I had a hard time believing that because she plays like a 6’2″ OH, oftentimes hitting hard, down and OVER the opposing block. Addison is definitely a six-rotation pin who can dig, pass and provide a great attack out of the back row. Write her name down because you’ll be seeing her at the next level for sure.
