About Addison

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a gameplay style that focuses on reading the court well, reacting quickly, covering my teammates, and communicating consistently.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is outgoing and positive. My mentality is driven and positive. I'm determined and hardworking.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of playing high school and club volleyball, I am an active member in Kewaskum High School's Spanish Club, Peers 4 Peers, Academic Bowl, Student Council, Key Club, HOSA, KIC, and Forensics. I am also on Washington County's Student Advocate Committee. I received the Catholic Financial Life Outstanding Student Award in 2024.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed key qualities such as leadership, teamwork, dependability, determination, organization, and empathy. In addition, I’ve strengthened important skills including working well under pressure and contributing to my community through service.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for an academically competitive college that offers a strong pre-med program along with a solid volleyball program. My goal is to continue on to medical school and ultimately earn a PhD, so I’m seeking a school that will challenge me academically while also supporting my athletic development.

Melzark is a lefty pin with a great reach that allows her to accommodate any set that is sent her way. She transitions quickly off the net, has quick footwork and has a great read and reaction time to accommodate any ball sent her way. Melzark also does a solid job on the defense end, she reads well, lines herself up correctly, and puts up a solid block. Melzark is also quick and moves efficiently to play good off blocker defense.
