Yet another in the “big and physical” category, Addy is a strong, fierce competitor that can hammer away at unsuspecting defenses because of her broad shoulders and heavy ball she hits. She’s been in and around open-level club ball for some time now, and is just now coming into her own as a hammer on either pin. I’ve seen her being used as a right side, primarily because of her size. She could be on either pin at the next level, and should do some damage at our Exposure Tour.

Speaking of big right sides, Addyson is a physical presence on every point and must be accounted for on both offense and defense. I like her high and heavy attack, as she blasted kills off of undisciplined blocks regularly throughout the weekend. On the block, her broad shoulders take up space and make it easy for the middle next to her to close. Overall, Miss Dean might turn into one of the top right sides south of I-70 by the time she graduates. Her overall understanding of what she can do, coupled with her strength and size, is already overwhelming the competition.

Long, lean and explosive, Addyson uses every last bit of her 6’1″ frame to go over a lot of blocks at this age group. She’ll be called upon to terminate from everywhere in the coming years at CN, so her club season might be used to perfect her ball control and pass-to-attack abilities to become a full-time six-rotation outside. I like her shot-making ability, as most kids with her frame at this age merely hit straight ahead—the deception of the shot that comes with pace is going to treat her well in her future, and would be a great addition for any roster she’s on.

Big and physical, Addy is a strong-armed pin attacker that regularly causes problems for opponents on both offense and defense. On offense, her upper body strength and pace of ball is hard to block or dig for this age group. On defense, she’s tough to get past because of her well-structured block and broad shoulders that take up space and limit opposing attackers’ angles. Addy is a three-rotation pin attacker from either pin that has already made the rounds in a high-level club schedule, and is only going to get better and stronger.

Big and physical, Addyson played up on TI’s 15-1 last spring, which is a WHOLE AGE GROUP above her grade. It might not seem like much but the difference between 14s and 15s at that young of an age means a lot, especially as an attacker. She held her own just fine, thankyouverymuch, and hits a heavy ball to put defenses on their heels immediately.
