About Adele

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a competitive, calm, and vocal setter who takes pride in communicating on and off the court with passers and hitters. I am focused on fast decision making, strategy, consistency, controlling the offensive flow, and positive encouragement for my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a positive, mentally tough player who uses humor and encouragement to support my teammates. I have a next-ball mentality, learn from mistakes, and stay calm and focused under pressure.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Non-sport awards that I have received are Student of the Month 5x, Math Olympiad Award, Nominated for Tech Trek, Algebra 1 Excellence Award. I am involved in Honors English.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Qualities that I have developed are leadership, patience, time management, composure, and confidence. Community service that I have participated in are coaching in a K-8 volleyball camp, teaching swim lessons, assisting at middle school volleyball practices, fundraising for schools, and Girl Scouts.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I have faced is living on a small island with limited access to resources. Living on the island, it requires a lot of travel and time management with sports and school to reach my athletic and educational goals.

What type of college are you looking for?

Qualities in a college I am looking for are, a good science and medical program, a big campus, urban environment, a lot of student involvement.
