About Aislinn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is competitive, smart, and team-oriented. I bring a strong presence at the net with aggressive but controlled swings. I focus on reading the blockers and placing my shots effectively to score. On defense, I take pride in my blocking and in being a reliable presence in coverage. I stay vocal on the court, constantly communicating with my setter and back row to stay in rhythm.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a focused and driven mentality, both on and off the court. I'm constantly working to improve, whether that means refining my technique, getting stronger and faster, or studying the game. I'm extremely coachable. I value feedback and use it to get better every day. I bring a positive, team-first attitude and always try to lift up the energy around me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Junior Honor Society Varsity Soccer Arabic Honor Society Scouts JROTC

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA, which requires coordinating and leading an in depth service project. I have also done National Youth Leadership training with Scouts and completed a weeklong leadership training at the University of Illinois. My leadership has been put to good use in sports as well, as I have served as JV volleyball captain and soccer team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a large university with a strong academic reputation where I can be challenged both in the classroom and on the volleyball court. I’m especially interested in schools that offer top programs in kinesiology or physical therapy. I value a competitive and supportive team environment, strong coaching, and a campus with school spirit and opportunities to get involved.

Taylor can really hit the ball. She snaps that wrist and the ball flies off of her hand! She’s listed at 6’1′ but seems deceptively taller. Has long arms and uses her whole body when she hits. Can hit it cross court on you, tooling the ball hard into your block, or just over you. Her ball seems heavy when hit, and that’s a good thing in volleyball. Hard to pass a ball that seems heavy and sinks.
