About AJ

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay style as athletic, versatile, and packed with energy. I’m a high-motor player who brings intensity to every rally—whether I’m swinging, defending, or making plays in serve-receive. I take pride in being adaptable, competitive, and able to impact the game in multiple ways.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a high-energy, positive mentality every time I step on the court. I’m very vocal—always communicating, encouraging, and keeping my team locked in. I love being the spark that lifts the people around me and keeps the momentum on our side.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. In addition to volleyball, I also compete in softball at the national level with Illusions Gold Elite and I’m an accomplished high jumper, hitting 5'4" in 8th grade. I’m involved in several leadership and academic organizations, including the National Honor Society, the Katy ISD Superintendent’s Student Leadership Circle, the Katy ISD Student Athlete Leadership Team, and the Morton Ranch FFA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a multi-sport athlete and involved in several leadership organizations has helped me develop strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I’ve learned to stay disciplined, adapt quickly, and support my team through both athletics and community service.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can challenge myself academically and athletically while preparing for Vet-Med school. Both of my parents were Division 1 athletes with advanced degrees, and while their success inspires me, I want to pave my own path—earning a meaningful degree from a top-tier university that I can be proud of, all while competing at a high level and growing as a student-athlete.
