About Alaina

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a 6-rotation outside hitter. I would describe my gameplay style as competitive, confident, and having the willingness to sacrifice my body, I also have mental toughness, I'm enthusiastic, and always play as hard as I can.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a competitor and want to win. I work hard at volleyball and like to think that I've outworked my opponents. My personality is encouraging and outgoing with my teammates. I get excited for my teammates when they do something good.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with Future farmers of America (FFA), Family, career and community leaders of America (FCCLA), student council, yearbook, and 4-H. I have received numerous awards over the past several years showing my llama, rabbits and chickens at the county fair for 4-H.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership, hard work, dedication, and confidence playing volleyball. I have completed many community service projects through 4-H. These have taught me responsibility and made me feel good for helping others. I also have spent time at a nursing home interacting with those who live there as a part of student council.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In July 2024 I broke my shoulder diving for a volleyball at an open gym. I wasn't allowed to do anything for 8 weeks. It was very hard to go to practice and games and not be able to help my team. I made the varsity team as a freshman but missed the first 7 games because of my injury. I had surgery to put a pin in my finger after getting hit by a softball in a varsity game in April 2025.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to a college where I feel comfortable and can play volleyball. I want to become a nurse. The college I go to will need to have nursing classes.

Parr is productive at all six spots in the rotation for the 152 squad. Parr constantly makes things happen out of system. That even means setting her teammates up to put balls down. Parr has a tough line shot. What is admirable about Parr is she constantly encourages her teammates whether the play goes for or against 152.
