About Alanna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strong leader, conducting the serve receive, defense, and back-row. I am fast, a scrappy defender with strong hustle and back-row awareness. I play with energy, and prioritizes clean passing and defensive consistency, and work to extend rallies through quick reads and relentless effort. I stay calm and composed during serve receive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong personality that is very outgoing, loud and energetic. I always put in 110% effort in every thing I do in life on and off the court. Iʻm able to stay calm and perform well under heavy pressure. I am also a very competitive person, willing to always do what it takes to win.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed an even stronger leadership ability since Iʻve started playing volleyball, learning that this is a tool that can be used in everyday life. Leadership is a way to impact the community, to guide others in need. Teamwork is also another life skill volleyball has taught me, being able to work with my teammates to solve problems is a way that can be used heavily in the real world.
