After two successful years at Waynesville, where she tallied an impressive 504 kills and 508 digs while earning all-conference and all-district honors, Alayna is set to bring her dynamic play to Marshfield. Known for her heavy ball and exceptional control, she is a formidable hitter who consistently delivers powerful shots from the pin.

We’ll now trek to Springfield to visit with Apex 16 National Navy, one of two Missouri crews in the 16 National division. Barkley has been the team’s pin-to-pin tone-setter throughout the 2026 campaign. College recruiters will be compelled by Barkley’s experience on both sides of the setter, but her left-side excellence will likely take precedence in Indianapolis. It’s the ideal way to give this physical athlete as many swings as possible.

Barkley continues to show her potential and has the makings of an explosive middle with a high ceiling. Her length makes her a natural presence at the net, and she’s already showing the ability to close blocks and put up a strong wall against top hitters. Offensively, she attacks with power and developing shot selection. As her footwork and lateral quickness continue to improve, Barkley has the potential to be a dominant two-way middle.
