In the tri-state pocket of Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky, Alex sees a little of everything when it comes to training, club scheduling and all things volleyball. Listed as a right side for NKYVC’s 17-3 squad, I see her as more of a six-rotation outside for a small school at the next level. Her high and hard attack scores points regularly, she’s ready to do the dirty work on floor defense, and is seemingly always in the right spot. Being surrounded by Cincy-area players during club season is a great way to find out what she’s really made of going forward.

Alex Rummel is a crafty and calculated hitter who adjusts mid-air to outmaneuver blockers. Her ability to angle attacks away from defenders and deliver timely tips makes her a consistent threat at the net. On defense, her blocking presence and ability to slow down attacks round out her all-around game. Her determination to improve in the offseason was evident at the Expo, and her commitment to the sport is sure to pay dividends as the season progresses.
