Alexis Cuan
About Alexis
Expert Analysis
Michael DeLeon | Prep Dig Scout
Alexis is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is listed on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball for Granada Hills Charter High School and also plays for the LAVA North volleyball club program. Many of our coaches remarked at just how beautiful of an approach Miss Cuan takes as she attacks. She uses a long and swooping takeoff to help her gain every inch she can in her vertical and it pays dividends as she can fly. Armed with a lightning quick arm swing that is very difficult for the eye to pick up as it explodes downward to exert force onto the ball. What makes her unique is that she can play on either pin and crank the ball to all locations. She has no trouble letting the ball cross all the way to her hitting shoulder on the right side in order to score down the line. This is not an easy task as it can really take some great timing, but she makes it look so smooth. During the scrimmage portion of the event, she was scoring at will and providing a lot of firepower for her squad. It was a no-brainer to add her to the list of deserving athletes to win this award due to her electric performance. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.

Alex Cuan, a 5’10” outside/opposite hitter from the Class of 2026, returns to the PrepDig Showcase eager to demonstrate her progress. Since her last appearance, she has made noticeable gains in both her vertical and hitting range. Alex is a key contributor for LAVA 17 Molten (#3) and a varsity player for GHC, who was part of the team that captured the CIF Open Division Championship.
Alex approaches the SLC tournament with a team-first mindset, aiming to help her squad start strong on day one. Personally, her goals are rooted in discipline and consistency, focusing on the fundamentals, staying mentally composed during fatigue, and remaining someone her teammates can count on in high-pressure moments. These goals, she notes, extend beyond just this tournament.
Her commitment off the court is equally impressive. Alex trains in the weight room three days a week with her club, adds an additional day of strength work, attends physical therapy to stay healthy, and fits in outdoor runs when the weather allows.
What sets Alex apart is her constant communication, unwavering effort, and ability to be a dependable teammate, qualities she believes will stand out to college coaches watching the showcase. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247
