About Aleyna
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style is built on consistency, reading the hits, and doing what it takes to keep the ball off the floor. As a DS/Libero, I focus on strong serve-receive, precise passing, and high court IQ. I take pride in being a loud leader in the back row and giving my team the confidence to take our games to the next level.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My mentality is focused and driven. I am coachable, team-oriented, and always looking for ways to grow my skillset for myself and my team. I bring lots of energy to the court and I work hard to be a player my teammates can depend on. My personality can be silly at times, but when it's time to lock in, I really focus.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
This year, I am involved with my school's STUCO committee, the yearbook committee, and my school's volleyball team. I am also one of the few students that many teachers can trust with other tasks, and my teachers know I am reliable and trustworthy to handle any task they give me.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have learned the importance of discipline, strong communication, and leadership over the last 3 years. I like to lead others by setting an example and helping others grow by teaching and helping out where they may struggle. I also like to create a positive and welcoming culture on the court.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that offers the right balance of volleyball, strong academics, and a supportive environment. I want a place where I can contribute on the court and prepare myself for future opportunities beyond volleyball.
