Malone is playing her final club season with Shockwave 18 out of the Tri-Cities, and the team finished 4-4 at the Matt Hartner Memorial in Eugene. Malone was outstanding for River View in the fall, finishing up at the WSVCA Senior game in Burlington after leading the Panthers to the State Tournament. At 5’9″, Malone takes full advantage of her quickness and athleticism to make plays in the middle. She makes decisive block moves to close on attackers and has a powerful, fast arm that is especially effective on fast-tempo sets.

In the game, she seamlessly transitions in the middle on offense, consistently positioning herself as a dependable option for the setter. Malone is an under-the-radar middle with loads of athleticism. Her River View high school team out of Kennewick competes in 2B, but don’t underestimate the impact Malone can have on a match. She can get up and over the net with her hands on defense, and she should make dramatic strides playing with a strong Shockwave program, particularly at the 16 and 17 ages. Her Shockwave 16 squad posted a 5-0 start to the season at the Spokane Power League qualifier last weekend.
