About Allie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High energy, passionate and competitive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the court is next ball mentality, focus on one play and focus on how my team and I can better the ball and next play. I have a very outgoing personality, I am a very strong leader who is passionate about volleyball.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in Beta club at my school, as well as a Leadership class at my school. I have gotten a multiple leadership awards in my school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed my leadership skills a lot in volleyball, having to be put in stressful situations and look for a fast and efficient solution. I always know how to cheer my teammates up even if we are struggling as a group. This has taught me there is always a way if you put your mind to it, and you can’t do it alone.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I got injured right before my team and I were going to nationals. This really changed my perspective on the game of volleyball. When I started practicing again it was very discouraging at first, not being at the same level as I was previously to being injured. I learned how to persevere, and be patient. This challenged me to push myself to harder limits and never quit.

What type of college are you looking for?

I look for a college who offers good education, as well as a strong volleyball program. I also look for a coach who genuinely cares about their athletes on more than just a volleyball player, a coach who their athletes daily.
