About Aloaha

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a very scrappy and aggressive play style. I am going to use my eyes when hitting and going to make a smart choice and not just pound the ball every time. I also am a leader on the court and will communicate through it all. I will also encourage all my teammates on or off the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very uplifting person and will encourage all teammates at all times. I have been working on having a very focused mindset. I also am a person who is going to move on and have that new ball mentality. I am confident in my play and ability and will communicate to all and be a leader on the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters through my school. I also am involved in Luther League at my church. An award that I have received is high honor role.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership has been one of my main skills/qualities. I am the type of person that teammates feel comfortable talking to. I communicate well with all and was captain of my club and school teams. Teamwork is also a main one; you can't go through life or play volleyball without people to help you or guide you. Community service is very important to me because I love to give back to others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I had a point where I lost all my confidence in my ability. I was able to lean on my teammates for their support as well as my coaches. As a result, I was able to regain my confidence and get back to my confident self.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is bigger and has a fun environment. I also want one with a high education rate. Lastly, I want a college that is inclusive to all and has many opportunities to get involved.
