I had not had the opportunity to see Bomkamp in action before the Grand Slam tournament, and was I missing out. Bomkamp is a beast in the back court. She does a solid job on serve receive, passing off her midline and creating great angles to deliver passes to target. She also works hard on the defensive end. She moves quickly to pick up tips and dumps and covers her attackers efficiently recycling many balls in the process. Bomkamp is also an excellent server. She had several aces on the weekend by proficiently serving zones and kissing the line in the deep corners.
