I watched Newman rule the backcourt on Saturday as the libero. She was stellar in serve receive and played great defense. She reads the ball well and is super agile which allowed her to pick up many tips and dumps. When I walked up to her court on Sunday, she was playing outside which was equally impressive. She terminated many balls from the pin and was an effective blocker also. Newman is the ultimate utility that every coach wants.
