About Amari

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay smart and efficient. I focus on the current point at hand and the best tactics to be able to work smarter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe myself having that “dawg” mentality. I do my best at all times on the court, and I strive for greatness.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of my school sport’s journalism team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership, is something I have learned over the years, especially while learning to be a setter.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The biggest challenge at hand that I’ve had was transitioning from a outside hitter to a setter. Although it felt like building my skills was going to take forever, the more I worked - the more it paid off.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that not only teaches me volleyball skills, but teaches me lessons for after my volleyball career, in which I can use my leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
