About Amelia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a setter who runs a fast and strategic offense. I stay composed under pressure and make quick decisions to keep the pace high and the defense guessing. My focus is on putting my hitters in the best position to score while leading with strong communication and energy.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is driven and focused on competing at the highest level. I approach every match with intensity and a determination to lead my team. I am confident under pressure, willing to take control in tough moments, and always pushing myself and my teammates to rise to the challenge.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

The clubs I am currently involved with are, Investment Club and Podcast/Production. Further, I have played classical piano since I was five years old.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a setter I have developed strong leadership and communication skills because I am responsible for running the offense and keeping the team connected. I have learned how to adapt quickly, read the game, and make decisions that put my hitters in the best position to succeed. These experiences have taught me how to lead with confidence while staying focused on teamwork and building trust on the co

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I have faced as a setter is staying composed under pressure, especially since setters often get the blame from hitters. I have learned not to take it personally, to listen to their feedback, and to move on quickly so I can keep leading with confidence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for top academic school where I can push myself in the classroom, while also being part of a strong volleyball program that will help me compete at a high level. Finding a place where I can grow as both a student and an athlete is important to me.
