About Amelia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay as focused and quick with being able to stay focused on the net during a play and being quick going back and forth while still being able to have fun and communicate with my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong next point mentality. I focus on what’s going to happen instead of what already happens. While my personality has often been described as goofy and super fun to be around.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not involved in any clubs, organization, or have received any non-sport rewards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a good skill of communication. I am able to communicate with teammates and strangers effectively, and I have also developed good leadership skills by being able to keep groups on task and finish our task on time and effectively.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I have faced is between my 14’s and 15’s I went to get an eye exam and learned that I had to wear glasses. I doubted myself for a while after not believing I could still play my position while learning how to get used to glasses and contacts, but over time I have gained my confidence back and have no doubt in myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that offers strong academics, high-level athletic competition, and a structured environment that emphasizes discipline, leadership, and service. My goal is to grow as both an athlete and a leader while preparing for a future serving something bigger than myself.
